Tuesday Tarot, 12/17/2013

Howdy folks, it’s that day of the week again. Well, it is a week past that day of the week. Last week’s update didn’t happen on account of life deciding to fight dirty. Today it tried again, in the form of my car taking a crap. However, it is under warranty, and I refuse to be thwarted again. So here we are, Tuesday Tarot Time.

Today’s card is the Ace of Wands.

Ace of Wands

The Ace of Wands

Obviously the first thing you see is a giant wand on fire. Fire is the element of the Wands suite. In the nest, a young Hercules strangles a snake that belches fire in rage. Two gnomes are at the base of the wand, one playing a mandolin, and the other using a saw. They are a symbol of strength, hard work, and enterprise. The saw and hammer represent the working class, and the colors are autumnal, representing the season of the suite of Wands.

Divinatory Meanings: Invention, Creation, Beginning. Start of an undertaking, Fortune, Enterprise. Gain, Inheritance, Birth of a child. Adventure, Escapade, Beginning of a meaningful experience.

Reversed Meanings: Cloudy Outlook, False start, Decadence, Empty existence. Cancellation of plans, Vexation.

Today is a grand day for an adventure. If you have been thinking of a new endeavor or trip, now is the day to start realizing it. Start the plans, take the first step. Indulge in your creative side.
